On August 27, nearly 50 people gathered in Fellowship Hall for an inspiring evening with Joel and Hollie Pick as they shared stories from their ministry in Cape Town, South Africa. Hollie, daughter of Cheryl and Dick Henry and a Moline High School graduate, spoke about her journey from the Quad Cities to serving on the front lines of hope, healing, and recovery in South Africa.

Guests from Christ UMC, Riverside UMC, Colona UMC, and other churches—including former pastor Keith Zimmerman and former IGRC District Superintendent Jan Griffith—heard how Joel and Hollie are helping individuals overcome trauma, addiction, and mental health challenges through compassionate, Christ-centered care.
