BUILDING A BELOVED COMMUNITY BOOK STUDY

This January and February, we’re inviting United Methodist clergy, laity, small groups, classes, and book clubs to join together in an on-line study and discussion of the new book from our Council of Bishops, Building Beloved Community: The Courage to Love in the Face of Tyranny.

ADVENT STUDY: EXPERIENCING CHRISTMAS

It isn’t too late to join us for Experiencing Christmas – Christ in the Sights and Sounds of Advent by Matt Rawle. Together, we explore how the familiar symbols and sounds of the season point us toward the deeper meaning of Christ’s coming.

Thursdays at Panera (6:00am) or Zoom (6:30pm) — Dec 18th

Wednesdays at 10:30am (East Moline Campus) — Dec 17th

Registration is required for the Zoom class to receive the link. Books are available for $10 each.

VOLLEYBALL CLINIC

Christ United Methodist Church is hosting two exciting Volleyball Clinics for students in grades 5 through 8 this winter! Whether you’re new to the game or looking to sharpen your skills, come join the fun and learn from an experienced coach.

Dates: Wednesday, December 20th & Wednesday, January 3rd
Time: 9:30–11:00am

Location: Family Life Center Gym, 3801 7th Street, East Moline (enter through Door #18)
Admission: Free!

Clinics will be led by Carl Dittmar, volleyball coach from Colona Grade School and Junior High.

We welcome donations of cash or non-perishable food items to support our church food pantry.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES

Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior on Christmas Eve with three worship services at our East Moline Campus.

Service Times are 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM & 11:00 PM on December 24th.

We invite you, your family, and friends to share in the joy, hope, and light of Christ this Christmas Eve.

MEN’S GROUP

The Christ United Methodist Church Men's Group meets the last Monday of each month at Village Inn on 53rd Street, Moline at 7:00am. This month’s meeting is December 29th.

NEW CLASS IN THE NEW YEAR

HOW WILL YOU START 2026?
Begin with joining our Zoom small group Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm beginning January 6th and ending on
February 10th.

Only a Bible is needed.
The topic: How to be with Jesus, become like him and do as he did.
You will need to register by giving us your name and email address by contacting our church office.
