Sunday School update:

10/01  Post-it notes from the Elementary (Grades 2-4) class of Sunday School at East Moline campus.

Each of the Fall lessons for Sunday School are about learning how to use the Bible.

We invite parents to stop in any Sunday for the entire class or a portion of the class.

On Sunday September 20, Miss Steph and Miss Diana taught the kids about the 12 ‘History’ books of the Old Testament in the Bible.

1.     Which book tells the story of loyalty and faith when a widowed daughter-in-law takes care of her husband’s widowed mother?

2.     What does the word ‘chronicle’ mean?

3.     Who was the Jewish Persian court official who became governor of Judea and led the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls in only 52 days.

This Sunday, Miss Theresa and Miss Diana taught the child about the next 5 books of the bible considered to be Poetry and Wisdom.

           Job – Why suffering exists

           Psalms – Worship, prayer, and emotion

           Proverbs – Wisdom for daily life

           Ecclesiastes  - The search for meaning of life

           Song of Solomon – Love and commitment

The adults and the kids are learning hand motions to help them remember the theme of each book of the bible.  Listed below are the motions for the 5 books of Law.  See how many your children can help you learn at home! If you would like a copy of all 66, please ask one of the teachers.
