Sunday School

May 3, 2026

Our Sunday School students recently explored the theme of Caring and Sharing, learning that if Jesus is concerned about others, we are called to be as well. Through a creative and engaging lesson, the children discovered what it means to support one another and build up a community.

Using the example of Fonkoze, a micro-finance organization serving those in need in Haiti, each student took on the role of someone starting a small business to provide for their family. From a seamstress in need of fabric and a sewing machine, to a farmer, jewelry maker, chicken rancher, and carpenter—each child imagined what it would take to succeed.

The students then worked together to discuss how they could support one another’s businesses. They quickly saw that by helping each other, the entire community could grow stronger and thrive. It was a powerful and meaningful way to understand compassion, generosity, and shared responsibility.

The lesson ended with fun activities like charades and drawing pictograms, where the kids expressed their ideas on how we can all care for and support one another in everyday life.

We are so proud of our amazing Sunday School students and the thoughtful, Christ-centered lessons they continue to learn and live out!
