SCOUTS BLUE & GOLD BANQUET

February 2026

What a wonderful weekend.  I hope everyone had an opportunity to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

What a fantastic time we had at the Blue and Gold Banquet! It was a wonderful celebration of our Scouts’ hard work and our community’s generosity.

  • Community Impact: Thanks to our Cake Bake event, we were able to provide a $241.00 donation to Dennis Huston representing the Christ United Methodist Church food pantry.

  • Friends of Scouting: Terry Fillmer, our Unit Serving Executive, introduced the Illowa Council’s annual Friends of Scouting Campaign. If you’d still like to contribute, you can find more information here.

  • Breakfast Optimist Club: Our Chartered Organization Representative, Marty Schmidt, shared the incredible work the Breakfast Optimist Club does for our community. Most notably, they provide financial support for children diagnosed with cancer. If you know a family who could benefit from this assistance, please let me know so I can connect you with Marty.

  • Scout Achievements: Finally, we handed out numerous Adventure Awards. Our Scouts have been incredibly busy, and it was an honor to recognize their achievements!
