Boy Scout Troop 311 Update

An update from Tad Tyler - Pack311 Committee Chair:

What an absolute blast! Our Pinewood Derby this past weekend was a high-octane spectacle of speed, creativity, and pure fun!  Our scouts pulled out all the stops, debuting a fleet of colorful derby cars. The energy was electric as we tore through 16 heats of fast and furious racing!   A massive standing ovation goes to Chris David for flawlessly chairing the event, and a huge shout-out to our incredible MC, Alyson Anton, for keeping the crowd roaring!   To all our amazing volunteers: thank you for making the whole night run like a well-oiled machine.  

Our next Pack event currently scheduled will be the Blue & Gold Banquet on February 10th, so mark your calendars.  The Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet is a February "birthday party" for Scouting where we celebrate its anniversary with family and community guests for an evening of fun and awards.  Scouting was founded in February 1910, with the colors blue (truth, loyalty) and gold (sunlight, cheer) representing the movement.  The Blue & Gold Banquet is a highlight of the year, bringing parents, Scouts, leaders, and sometimes community guests together for an evening of fun and friendship. We will also take time to award badges for completed advancements and honoring pack leaders and volunteers.
